What is Kindergarten?
Kindergarten formally replaces what used to be ‘Pre-Prep'. Kindergarten is one of the three objectives outlined in the Queensland Government's Flying Start for Queensland Children initiative. 
The kindergarten program provides a balance of intentional teaching and child-initiated learning through inquiry-based and purposeful play environments. Children are given ownership of their learning through the programs.
