St Joseph's Catholic School The Strand

St Joseph's School the Strand in the Mary Help of Christians Parish.

St Joseph's School the Strand was founded in 1873 from humble beginnings and today is known as a modern educational institution providing schooling from Prep to Year 6.

St Joseph's School is situated on Fryer Street on a site adjoining St Patrick's College and St Joseph's Church. St Joseph's School provides an environment based on Catholic tradition with a commitment to lifelong learning.

St Joseph's School is a systemic Catholic Primary School in the Townsville Diocese. We recognise each child as being unique and formed in the image of God. We are a school community which fosters a friendly, trusting collaboration between principal, teachers, parish priest and parents for the ongoing development of each child. St Joseph's School is a Catholic school committed to an education that is centred on Christ and Christian values.

Diverse curricula activities initiated by a caring and dedicated team of professionals, well maintained grounds and facilities and parent involvement combine to offer excellent learning opportunities.
